B.A. BSW MASPA, MAASW, PACFA Register, Accredited Mental Health Provider.
Judith Hamilton-Smith has had a private Psychotherapy and Counselling practice in Melbourne for over 25 years. She is a trained and registered psychotherapist, a qualified Social Worker and has an additional degree in Fine Arts.
Judith is a qualified and skilled practitioner who is experienced in working with individual adults with a wide range of mental health issues. Short or long term therapy is offered following a thorough assessment. A variety of therapeutic interventions are offered.
Judith has a particular interest in the value of the therapeutic relationship. She believes that within a confidential, supportive professional relationship individuals are able to explore unconscious historical and contemporary experiences in their lives. This helps make sense of the past and present in a way that enables behavioural change to take place.
With specialised training in Somatic Psychotherapy Judith has a deep understanding of the capacity of the body to carry the burden of emotional trauma and stress.
Professional supervision is offered .
